Description
The town of Wendling was a mill town just outside of Springfield in the Mohawk Valley. The town was founded in 1899, and had a peak population of about 700. Abandoned in 1946, all that remains today are a few concrete foundations. As kids we always referred to this structure as either a jail or a bank vault, depending on what make believe game we were playing at the time. More about Wendling, Oregon here:
