This is a tree at the Adriana Hess Wetland Park here in University Place, Washington. I started out with a 3 exposure HDR, didn't really like it too much so I then "Ortonized" it. Next came "invert" to negative. I liked that result a lot, but not the background which was the color of the side trim (approx) as you see in this final version. I then took the time to fill in the background with black. I liked the starkness of that background and really liked how it made the blues stand out :-)
